Technology Description

At the core of FluIDect's innovation is the Fluorescent Resonator Signature (FRS) technology. This sophisticated approach uses fluorescent, surface-functionalized polymer microbeads that bind to target microbes through antibody interactions while floating freely in the liquid analyte. As these microbeads pass through a measuring channel, they are energized by a laser, causing them to emit a characteristic wavelength glow due to Whispering Gallery Modes formed inside the beads. This glowing allows for the optical identification and quantification of the bound microbes or proteins.

This technology represents a significant leap forward in microbial detection, enabling continuous monitoring and dramatically enhancing quality control processes across various industries, including pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, and water treatment.
